Robert Holborn Brown
Photographer

Robert H. Brown has been a professional and fine art photographer for nearly three decades. He received his training in photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Robert has also participated in numerous prestigious workshops including the Ansel Adams Yosemite Workshop and working as a journeyman in the studios and photographic labs of New York, NY.

Robert captures images of his native Pennsylvania and the Adirondacks for portfolios, exhibition and publication using all forms of photography. Using larger formats are a favorite. His subjects often include sweeping landscapes, waterways, natural abstractions, historic architecture and distinctive portraits. All his photographs are handcrafted in his darkrooms, digital lab and studio. These images are continually on exhibit in galleries, museums and public spaces across Pennsylvania and are widely collected.

Robert is very active in Central Pennsylvania’s regional arts organizations and historic preservation groups. Additionally he has taught photographic workshops for nearly twenty years. Robert owns and operates Premier Studios and lives with his wife Barbara and Labradors in Danville, Pennsylvania.
